Roger DeCoster’s title as ‘The Man’ is due to his status as a legend in the game of motocross racing. DeCoster is usually acknowledged as the best racer in motocross during the early years of the sport. His racing achievements and years as racing team manager for Honda, Suzuki and now KTM are simply amazing. He won five 500cc Motocross World Titles which included an archive of 36 500cc Motocross Grand Prix victories, was part of six winning Belgium Motocross des Nations teams, gained four Trans-AMA Motocross Titles and a Gold Medalist within the Worldwide Six Day Trial (Enduro) on top of numerous national titles in his native Belgium.
As leader of Team Honda and Team Suzuki his riders won numerous championships. Now with KTM his main rider Ryan Dungy is on the verge of winning another motocross championship. No other person has accomplished as much in the world of motocross racing as Roger DeCoster.
